In beauty may I walk

Saturday, October 29, 2022 • 8pm

Emmanuel Church
15 Newbury Street, Boston

“In beauty may I walk … with beauty all around me”… lines that evoke the moments in which all seems right with the world, in which everything is clear, in which the separation between yourself and everything else dissolves.

We, like the poets, often see things other than beauty around us: poignant reminders of regrets and old longings around us, of war and suffering. The poet’s words, though, help us learn about these tender and painful corners of life; they mysteriously bring beauty to the brokenness. “In beauty may I walk … with beauty all around me” is an invitation for us in “this soil’d world”:  to be free to imagine a world with the beauty you hope for, where beauty around you is beauty around everyone.

Tickets are still available at the door.
